Students are expected to read a minimum of 20 minutes at least 4 times a week (every day is best). They will be reminded to record the book's title as well as the approximate number of pages read in their agenda. Most have been doing this on the page after our spelling words. Please sign the day's square once homework and reading are complete. COVID-19 Checklist Please go through the latest COVID-19 checklist with your child each day before school. Call the school to let us know your child will be away. I can prepare work for them to complete at home and will copy all notes they missed. Please encourage them to bring home whatever work they can once they return to school. Together with your child, look through the homework notes they have stapled in their agenda to assist them in deciding what to bring home. |
Book OrdersScholastic book orders continue to be online this year. You can go to Scholastic Canada to look at all the books and resources they have to offer. Place your order online and in the coupon code field, enter 5D's class code RC249248 to get free shipping with orders over $40. We earn bonus coupons from your order that help me purchase books for our classroom library, so any orders you place are greatly appreciated! I also place orders of my own for the classroom, so if there is something you want but do not want to order yourself online, please get in touch with me and I should be able to add your order with mine. |
